It's currently 36 degrees and it's 11am, I don't even want to know how cold it was when I went to work this morning at 8am:/ However campus keeps getting more and more beautiful as fall continues on and it's November which is definitely one of my favorite months! My 21st b-day is in 6 days, veterans day is coming and thanksgiving is right around the corner:) I'm loving that it is a scarf and sweater day but I've been tempted to listen to christmas music but I must not listen to any until after thanksgiving... I hope I can make it by then! Happy Halloween Day! However, today doesn't really feel like Halloween, Monday just doesn't seem like a day for a holiday.  I've dressed up for all weekend and today I didn't feel it was appropriate to dress up but I thought I'd go nautical today, that counts for something right!  But my day has already been off to a great start! At work this morning my bosses dressed up in the most hilarious costumes, they brought us candy and the little kids came through our offices to trick or treat and they made my day!! Normally Monday's aren't my favorite but thank you Jesus I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and I am ready to start week 6!   Well hey there. Long time no see. My life has been insanely hectic but so good at the same time. School is in full swing, work is fast-pace and I've already seen how much the Lord has done in the ministry I'm involved in this year! Today I want to express my desires. You see I have a fear of failing. I'm a people-pleaser, I want to do everything perfect at work, I need to excel in my classes, be the best friend and daughter and sister I can be and to give all I have for God and his ministry. But, I'm at the end of my rope. I have even realized that I have an addiction to coffee, I have been relying on it every morning to get through each day, to stay awake in classes and to persevere to get things done. So last week in our Bible Study we talked about what's important to us and what is getting in the way of following God. Today is the celebration of the 22nd Birthday of my dearest friend Krystal Catchpole! "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. " Proverbs 31:25 Krystal has been such an incredible friend to me these past couple years and I am so blessed to have her in my life. She is always encouraging and she is one of the most caring persons that I have ever met. Krystal's heart is so after God and she is constantly putting others before her and giving of herself so selflessly. She is so joyful and being around her makes for lots of laughs and memories. Currently I’m on a train southbound from Tacoma to Corvallis. Leaving one place of home to another. It was wonderful to be at home with my family this summer. Spending time with my sister was so much fun and working all week long wasn’t too bad either.    This summer I had a few “firsts” for me. For example this is my first train ride.  Going to Mexico was an INCREDIBLE first. I miss that place so much! Singing in a wedding was an honored first for me:) Flying on a plane was a funny first. Visiting the cute town of Polsbo and taking a ferry to Seattle was a delightful first.  Buggy-boarding in Cannon Beach was an exciting first! But Vacationing in Cannon Beach though has been a tradition in my family for years and I love every single trip we take there!   This place has always had such a sense of home for me. Today is a very important day because 17 years ago my incredibly lovely sister Courtney was born! She is such a light and a joy!!! We've always called her smiley eyes because she truly has an amazingly happy spirit! Her heart is so big and full of love for others. I admire her servants heart for God and how much she lives to honor him. We've been getting closer to each other every year and I'm so thankful and grateful for her and her listening ears and encouraging words and our hilarious and spontaneous memories. I love you Court with all my heart I hope your day was as amazing as you:)
