{Happy Birthday}

Image
Today I'm dedicating my blog to... Birthday Blessings to my most wonderful favorite roommate Kelly Ervin! Kelly turns 22 today and I can't believe I can't be with her on her day. She was the best roommate this year and we said goodbye only a few days ago as she graduated, (say what?? GRADUATED) and we traveled home for the summer. Kelly does so much for everyone, she remembers friend's favorites and gets them for them, she is a great listener and an amazing advice giver, and she has the biggest heart for God! It was such an honor to lead Bible Studies this year with her and she will be missed so much by me and all who have been touched by her. Even though finals week was crazy we decided that we couldn't let the last days go by without celebrating our dearest Kelly. Many of us couldn't make her graduation ceremony and wouldn't be near her during her Birthday either. So, we decided to throw her a  Happy Graduation/Birthday/We love Kelly Party! Kryst...

a little encouragement.

a song in response.

Image
I have been delighting so much in God's word lately. I love reading it and soaking it all up and pondering it and seeing how God has been relating his word to other things he is doing in my life. There's some pretty powerful stuff going on let me just say that. When I journal in response to reading his living word sometimes a song is created. I wrote this song a couple months ago and so today I'm going to share it with you. Songwriting for me is a way I respond back to God, it's an incredible gift that he has given me and I need to share it more because I know he didn't give it to me to keep to myself. I've been learning more about what spiritual gifts are and what some of mine are and how to use them, and this topic keeps coming up, either in my devotionals or in sermons or conversations. So what are your gifts that you've been hiding? I hope this is an encouragement to you:)

True love died.

Hello Good Friday! Today is the day we remember the greatest sacrifice. He took on the whole worlds sins so that we may have eternal life through him! He died on the cross, with nail in his hands and in his feet and a crown of thorns upon his head. His death was brutal and we placed him there on the cross. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice so we wouldn't have too. He reconciled us, purified us, forgave us, HE LOVED US! He did this for us! It's heart aching to think about, because what he did for us was so harsh and it hurts to know that he went through tremendous pain. But it was all out of love, Jesus was perfect and this is how he showed his perfect love for us. True Love by Phil Wickham

new life.

So this week , I was assigned to write about my journey from childhood to choosing my college and future plans. The more I wrote my story, the more I realized how boring it was. Yeah, I've lived some cool places and had some great experiences and nothing about my journey has been horrible or dull but writing my story without mentioning Jesus in my life was pointless! My new life, my entire purpose for living is to glorify Jesus and without this intentionality of living my life would just be meaningless. Today is Maundy Thursday, a day for celebrating in the passover feast and on this Maundy Thursday 16 years ago I asked Jesus Christ into my little four year old heart . NOW that is worth writing about! Christ has purified my heart and given me a new ETERNAL life! okay wow... hold on one second... SO BREATHTAKING I tell ya! ponder this... WE are forgiven in HIS name! His Holy Spirit lives inside us ! He moves through us and breathes new life into us! If this isn't g...

I love  fashion & crafts   (if you couldn't already tell) I get into these crafty moods all the time and think ooo I could make this or oooo I could make that! Lately, this has been happening on a regular occurrence. I'm not sure if it's the sunny weather or just watching too much TLC or perhaps the fact that I'm addicted to Pinterest.com...hmm it's questionable;) Anyway, here's what I've been crafting up!                          I FINALLY made a yarn wreath! They are soo adorable and super easy to make. These colors are by far all my favorite, ah I just love everything about it! Rose Necklace and Hair pin.
